PPPoE Server Connection

Choose PPP on Mikrotik Winbox Menu



choose PPPoe Server tab

1. Click (+) , choose tab PPPoe server.
2. Service Name - optional
3. Interface – depend what interface you use it, in this we use Wireless
4 Max MTU / MRU : default
5. Default profile - pppoe wlan ( this is ip pool where range to include in pppoe server. )



ip pool :

1. Click + choose pool
2. Name – pppoe-wlan
3. Address – ip Range for pppoe server.

Apply.
Ok

Add profile from PPPoE server



1. click + than we got :



Choose General Tab

2. Name - pppoe-wlan ( Optional )
3. Local address - 192.168.2.1 ( Appropriate with your local network )
4. Remote address – choose pppoe-wlan
5. DNS server - DNS from ISP
6. Use compression : yes
7. Use VJ Compresion : yes
8. Use Encryption : yes
9. Change TCP MSS : Change TCP MSS : yes
Apply
ok

Add account client



1. Click + Than we got :



2. Name – client name
3. password - password for client
4. Service - pppoe
5. Callerid – client mac address that captured in wireless table
6. Profile - pppoe-wlan
7. local address- ip interface wireless

Apply
ok

We're done making pppoe server. Now we make Client connection. Make sure the clent connect to the AP.

Dial from windows XP profesional SP3

1. Control panel

Choose network connection.



create new connection

Than we got :



Next

isp name ( optional )




next.





Choose connect to the internet

Next




Choose set up connection mannualy

next




Choose connection using broadband

next





fill from pppoe profile that we make before

next

Done.Try to dial from computer client if success, we got :




Secure Client mac address that associate in wireless table :

1. Add security profile


Name : optional

2. Choose Radius Tab



check mac authenticathion
Apply
ok
